Witnessing the Wildebeest migration, is one of the world wonders. If you have had a dream of experience this wonder, we have developed the safari pack for you. The wildebeest migrate all year round, so depending on when you come to visit, you will visit different places in Serengeti. To experience the wildebeest migration, we recommend four nights in Serengeti National Park to be able to experience it.

You get picked up in the early morning to go to Tarangire National Park, you will spend the day there before going to sleep in Manyara or Karatu. The next day, you will drive to Serengeti National Park, where you will spend the next four days in different areas and sleep inside the national park.

The last day you visit Ngorongoro Crater, before you drive back to Arusha for your drop-off.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Game drive in Tarangire National Park

On day 1, you will be picked up in the morning at your hotel or at the airport and then you will go to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy game drive during the day. Tarangire National Park is home to the largest elephant population in Tanzania and also the baobab trees, so hopefully you will be able to catch a glimpse of them when in the park.

After the game drive in Tarangire National Park, you will go sleep in Manyara or Karatu. Depending on your booking, this can be at different accommodations or in a campsite.

Day 2-5 - Game drive in Serengeti National Park

On day 2 you will start with an early morning drive from your accommodation to Serengeti National Park. You will drive through the conservation area of Ngorongoro, seeing the beautiful landscape, some masai villages and wildlife. When arriving to Serengeti National Park, you will spend the day doing game drive in the central part of Serengeti, rich with wildlife.

Depending on the time of the year that you will travel with us, we will take you to different areas in Serengeti to witness the wildebeest migration.

Between January and March, you will go to the Ndutu Region for the calving Season
April and mid July the wildebeest will be in the central Serengeti on the Western side
Mid July to end of September you will go to Northern Serengeti to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara river.
In October, you will go to Lobo region to witness the migration
November to December, you will spend the time in central Serengeti to see the wildebeest migration

Day 6 - Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

You will this morning wake up early to drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the crater. Stopping in the morning at the view point and overlooking the wide crater, with more than 20 km in diameter, giving you a chance to grasp the magnificent landscape before descending down to the crater floor.

In the afternoon, when finishing with the game drive, you will go back to Arusha for the end of your safari adventure.
